The 4th edition of Bengal Global Business Summit 2018 was held on January 16 – 17, 2018 at Biswa Bangla International Convention Center, Kolkata.
BGBS 2018 brought together Policy Makers, Corporate Leaders from around the Globe, Delegations, Academia, and Opinion Makers to Explore Business Opportunities, Forge Partnerships and Collaborations.
Government of West Bengal has organised 4 successful editions of Bengal Global Business Summit. The four chapters of the summit have witnessed overwhelming response from the business community receiving USD 145.93 billion worth of business proposals from varied sectors.
BGBS 2018 received participation of over 4000 delegates across India and 32 countries. Multiple delegations from Europe, America and Asia participated at the Summit.
Japan, Germany, Italy, Poland, Republic of Korea, France, Czech Republic, UK and UAE were the Partner Countries.
Twelve sessions including Eight Parallel Sectoral Sessions on focus sectors, four Country Sessions were organized during the 2-Day long Summit.

Country Sessions were organized on the side-lines of the summit with visiting delegations from Germany, Poland, Italy and China to explore business linkages, partnerships and collaborations.
Over 1046 B2B meetings and 40 B2G meetings took place during the Summit. Meetings for partner countries were organized at Country Pavilions and meetings for other countries were organized at common B2B lounge. Senior Secretaries and Officials from various departments of the State Government of West Bengal had meetings with the Country Representatives / Delegation members on specific sectoral opportunities available in the state.
